Responsible for preparation and examination of our financial records to ensure their accuracy, and to ensure compliance with the required city, state and federal tax laws and financial reporting. Calculate tax obligations, prepare tax returns filings (including quarterly and annual reporting), and ensure their on-time payment. Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies both to our staff as well as to our clients and/or vendors. Apply accounting skills while utilizing generally used accounting and tax software to prepare tax and financial reports, and to review of payroll, budgeting, cost and asset management. Review and prepare accounting journal entries, weekly and monthly wage entries and fiscal reports, as well as business tax documentation and reports. Review monthly financial statements and spending and budget reports. Inspect our account books to ensure compliance and to propose any necessary updates or changes. Resolve any accounting discrepancies and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures. Co-advise management on tax ramifications of business decisions, and consult in the areas such as compensation, benefits, and asset protection.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Public Accounting.
Experience Required: 12 months as Accountant or Bookkeeping or Accounting Clerk
